Heartbeat

Initially, "Heartbeat" was a solo project where I aimed to recreate Dirty Palm's style while adding an emotional touch. The main vocal was initially very different but was changed through collaboration with Godoy Music.

Back in March 2021, I was experimenting with sounds to define my style, or at least how I wanted to create Future Bounce in a unique way. However, since it's a lengthy process, things weren't progressing as quickly as I had hoped. At that time, Heartbeat, which was initially titled Flower (at least its demo versions) went through many iterations. While the song ended up sounding quite interesting, it still felt raw. As a result, I started to seek help from other producers who could give me some feedback on it and help change some things.

During that period, I actively participated in parties and feedback sessions on the Discord Team MMBL Community (now known as SocialSound by MusicByLucas), where I mainly sought that assistance. Eventually, I received a message from Carlos, who saw the potential in this song and offered to collaborate on the project. Carlos had previously released music on prominent labels and had a decent following among producers and fans of his work, and I felt it would be a missed opportunity not to try to rework that project as a collaboration.

Somewhere around May or June, I rendered all files from my original project and sent them to Carlos, initiating my first collaboration. We discussed how I wanted the track to sound, and he suggested some great features. However, since the moment I've sent him the files, I haven’t contributed much to the project. Occasionally, I received updates about the changes he made. Although I really liked his alterations, 70-80% of the original work I put in was reworked by Carlos, or used in a slightly different way.

You can still spot some elements from my original version, but overall, the song transformed from an emotional Future Bounce to a more joyful sound.

By the end of summer, the song was completed, and I was pleased with how it turned out, and we began searching for labels to release it, hoping that some of Carlos’s contacts from previous releases would be interested. Unfortunately, some labels didn’t respond, and others declined for various reasons. The search took quite a while, and at one point, due to this overwhelming process, Carlos even stated his desire to step away from the collaboration and let me take full control of the song and release it myself. Fortunately, some days later, he received a message from Seal Network, expressing interest in signing it.

And just like that, Heartbeat was released on October 8, marking my first appearance on this label.

Additionally, Heartbeat received a warm welcome from Future House Cloud, which added the song to its biggest playlists. Future House Music also featured it in their editorial playlists, specifically in the Future Bounce playlist, where it remained for almost a year.
