Getting Started

Somewhere around May or June, I felt an instant urge to create something chill. At that moment, I was focused on making Future House songs, but there was still a part of me that wanted to return to simpler melodies. While working on Piece Of You and Heartbeat, I started to experiment with more relaxed and vibey sounds.

At one point, I found myself experiencing the same feelings I had when I first began creating Tropical House music. Back in 2019, I really liked the warm sounds of plucks and wooden whistles. This realisation hit me while listening to Avicii's "Stories" album, which featured those elements. This discovery also introduced me to artists like Kygo, Sam Feldt, and Sigala, who primarily focused on the sound that defined a new genre for me: Tropical House. They were among the first artists I encountered as I explored my identity as a music producer and learned about production techniques. This particular song is a nod to that genre and a gesture of gratitude for its influence on my musical journey.

Also, I was able to finish the song in a week or even less, making it probably the fastest song I've ever produced from start to finish. In fact, the label search also went smoothly and surprisingly quickly compared to my previous experiences. I even received a nice letter from Jendex Records stating that they are ready to sign the song on the second week after finishing the song!

In the end, I was very satisfied with the entire process of creating this song. It provided me with a long-lasting sense of accomplishment, especially since this was the last song I released in 2021. That year was filled with emotions and huge achievements in my career, so this song marked a wonderful and relaxing conclusion to 2021.
